Introduction:
What? :
When visiting Lake Powell near page Arizona one of the best location for beach access and camping is in Lone Rock beach.
It is nice sandy beach with impressive huge rock formation standing in the middle of water not far from the beach.
This is the most west arm of Lake Powell.
there is a large campground here and you can also visit the nearby large Marina and enjoy lake boating activities.
Where? :
located west of Page, Arizona on highway 89.
The drive down to the beach is less than ½ mile car drive off of highway 89 right on the border between Arizona
and Utah.
this area is part of the Glen Canyon Recreation Monument.

My thoughts:
We visit here in a cold winter day when our Antilope Canyon tour was canceled because of the light snow.
We enjoy the lake view and to walk on sandy beach.
The tall rock
formation rising out from the water is impressive.
I saw it can be crowded at the summer with RV and
campers, at winter we had the place to ourselves.
