San Francisco - Financial District
The Financial
District is the city’s business center, there aren’t many tourist attractions
over here.
You will pass
through this area when you want to walk from Union Square to the Ferry Building
at the end of Market St or when you visit the nearby South of Market St (SoMa)
area.
You can visit
the no-admission small Wells Fargo Museum (420 Montgomery St) that provides interesting
information on Wells Fargo and SF history, including an original stagecoach, and
1906 Earthquake and Fire.
You can walk
through the open Embarcadero Center for shopping, dining, and watching the
interesting buildings architecture.
This center is spans
four full city blocks in the Financial District east section.
Up until the
building of Salesforce Tower (2018) the Transamerica Pyramid (1972) that is
located at the north of the Financial District was the tallest skyscraper in
the San Francisco and dominate it skyline, its unique sharp tall pyramid shape
is still iconic even today.
