North Beach district and Italian
streets
This area is located
along Columbus Av., north of Chinatown and south of the north piers area.
In this popular
tourist area, you can find many coffee shops, Italian restaurants, pubs, night
clubs and even few old bookstores.

Washington Square
Washington
Square is an open city park in the North Beach district of San Francisco. The
park (established in 1847) is located on Columbus Ave., and you can find here
and in nearby streets many cafes and restaurants.
This park is
popular gathering place for local residence, enjoying the open grassland garden
in warm summer days (when there is no fog 😊) and the many
nearby cafe’s places.
The large and
impressive Peter and Paul Church (built in 1924) is located on the north side
of the park.
At park
northwest corner you can see the monument to San Francisco firefighters, this
is contribution of Lillie Hitchcock Coit that also contribute Coit Tower to the
city.
This park is
between Chinatown and Italy area in the south to Fisherman Wharf and the piers
at the north, a perfect location to rest when walking across the city.
From the park
you can climb up the steep hill to the nearby Coit tower.
