San Francisco - Ghirardelli Square
Ghirardelli Square
Ghirardelli
Square, a full city block of 19th century red brick buildings, is a very
popular tourist attraction located at the bay waterfront west side just above San
Francisco Maritime National Historical Park.
The buildings
are arranged around a "square", with a mermaid statue fountain. You
can visit the chocolate store; ice cream sundaes, eat in one of the restaurants
or just enjoy the square.
If you are here
walk east on Beach St half a block and look for Umbrella Alley, a nice place to
take your “Instagram” pictures (fee area).
Near here there
are many rental bike/ebike places. From here you can ride along the bay front
all the way to the Golden Gate Bridge.
You can also
find here rental small yellow “car” if you want to do motorized tour in the
city.
